Which EV charger fits the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV?

Pick a charger with a built-in MID meter either way. That is a certified kWh meter which records exactly how much you charge. From 2026, private drivers in the Netherlands earn back up to 500 euros a year through their energy supplier. That only works with such a meter, and the scheme runs in the Netherlands only. Elsewhere the certified reading is what your employer or leasing company accepts.
Start with the 7.4 kW EV chargers. You can filter on the certified meter directly in the chargers with a MID meter. For a first installation without complications, the home chargers are the simplest starting point.
Important for this car: the Outlander PHEV has a Type 1 inlet, while chargers use Type 2. Choose a charger with a socket rather than a fixed cable, plus a matching type 1 to type 2 charging cable.
How long does the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV take to charge?
A full charge takes roughly four hours on a 3.7 kW charger. Through an ordinary wall socket at 2.3 kW it takes longer, around six hours. Plug the car in during the evening and you drive off fully electric the next morning. The battery is small, so the difference between a wall charger and a portable one is modest. The convenience of a fixed unit on the wall is the real gain.
