The kit you need depends on your specific situation and several factors. Obstacles on the roof and the dimensions of your roof are often the most important considerations.
A pitched roof solar panel mounting kit includes the following components:
- 2 mounting rails
- 4 roof hooks
- 4 bolt sets (for securing the roof hooks to the mounting rails)
- 4 end clamps
- 1 grounding clamp

Installing Solar Panels on a Pitched Roof – What’s Involved?
When installing solar panels on a pitched roof, it is important that everything is done safely and efficiently. You want to avoid situations where the panels are not properly secured or where unsafe conditions may occur. Below, we explain how to prevent these issues.
First, the mounting rails are supplied in a standard length of 200 cm. If this is too long for your roof or the number of panels you want to install, the rails can be cut to size.
When installing solar panels on roof tiles, the roof hooks must first be screwed into the roof battens. The mounting rails can then be attached to the roof hooks using the supplied bolts and nuts.
Finally, the solar panels can be mounted onto the rails. This is done using the supplied end clamps and mid clamps. Once everything has been secured correctly, the installation of your pitched roof solar panel mounting system is complete and you can start enjoying the benefits of solar energy.
