The Easee Charge Max and Charge Pro both have a certified MID meter built in. This allows you to register every charged kWh accurately and transparently, making them suitable for business reimbursement, employer compensation and the new ERE scheme.

At Wallbox Discounter, you can choose from two MID models:

  • Easee Charge Max 22 kW with MID meter, competitively priced
  • Easee Charge Pro 22 kW with MID meter, competitively priced
  • Both models can be ordered separately or directly including installation by a certified installer

Which Easee MID EV Charger suits you best?

Both models charge up to 22 kW on a 3-phase connection and feature a Type 2 socket, allowing you to choose your own charging cable. The difference lies mainly in the target use case and expansion options.

Best suited forResidential or small business useFleet owners and public charging points

What is a MID meter and why do you need one?

MID stands for Measuring Instruments Directive, a European directive that certifies that an energy meter measures accurately and reliably. An Easee EV Charger with MID meter therefore qualifies as a legally valid measuring device. This is important in three situations:

  • You charge for business purposes and want to reimburse costs through your employer or leasing company.
  • You share a charging station with multiple users and want to settle costs per person.
  • You want to participate in the ERE scheme and earn money back for every charged kWh.

ERE certificates: earn money back through your charging station

Since 1 January 2026, the ERE scheme applies in the Netherlands: owners of eligible charging stations receive compensation for every kWh they charge into their electric vehicle, because this replaces fossil fuel use. The compensation is currently approximately 7 to 10 cents per kWh and is paid through a booking service provider. The scheme applies retroactively for the entire year of 2026.

Important condition: your EV charger must have an integrated, certified MID meter. A separate meter in the electrical cabinet is not sufficient. Both the Easee Charge Max and Charge Pro meet this requirement and are suitable for ERE registration.

Load balancing with the Easee Equalizer

Easee uses its own accessory for dynamic load balancing: the Easee Equalizer. This small device is connected to the P1 port of your smart meter inside the electrical cabinet. The Equalizer continuously measures how much electricity your home is using and controls the charger accordingly, preventing overload of the main fuse. Do you have solar panels? Then the Equalizer detects surplus energy and allows the charger to use your own solar power when available. You can read more about this technology on our load balancing page.

Installation and delivery time

Plug & Charge via ISO 15118 on the Charge Pro

The Easee Charge Pro supports ISO 15118, the communication standard between vehicle and charger. With Plug & Charge, your vehicle identifies itself securely to the charger as soon as you plug in the cable, so the charging session starts without a charging card or app interaction. Each session is directly linked to the vehicle and the MID measurement, which greatly simplifies administration for company car drivers and fleet owners. ISO 15118 also forms the basis for future V2G and V2H applications.

The compact size of an Easee EV Charger makes installation straightforward: mount it on the wall, connect it to a 3-phase circuit and pair it with the Equalizer in the electrical cabinet. Frequently asked questions about Easee EV Chargers with MID meter

Is every Easee EV Charger eligible for ERE?

No, only models with a certified, integrated MID meter are eligible. At Wallbox Discounter, these are the Easee Charge Max and the Easee Charge Pro.

How much can I earn back through ERE certificates?

That depends on how much you charge and the current market price. In 2026, compensation is between 7 and 10 cents per charged kWh. An average EV driver covering 12,000 km per year charges around 2,500 kWh, which equals approximately €175 to €250 per year.

Do I need a 3-phase connection?

The Easee Charge Max and Charge Pro are 22 kW chargers designed for 3-phase connections. On a 1-phase connection, they charge at a lower power level. Do you only have a 1-phase connection? Ask our specialists for advice on a more suitable model.

Can I reimburse charging sessions with multiple users?

Yes. Both models support RFID and the Easee app records how many kWh have been charged per user. This is useful for business reimbursement or for shared charging stations in apartment associations.

Make your choice

Do you want to register every charged kWh accurately and participate in the ERE scheme? Then an Easee EV Charger MID meter is a smart choice. Choose the Charge Max for home or small business use, or the Charge Pro for fleets and public charging locations. Not sure which of the two suits you best? Our charging specialists are happy to advise you by phone, email or WhatsApp.
