Loady is Wallbox Discounter’s own brand and stands for charging cables and mobile home chargers at the sharpest price. A Loady charging cable charges your electric car via a Type 2 connection, the standard charging connector in Europe. You choose the power yourself, from 3.7 kW for relaxed charging to 22 kW for the shortest charging time on a 3-phase connection (three phases at the same time).

Which Loady charging cable fits your car?

Loady supplies every common version, so you can always find the right cable. When choosing, pay attention to your car’s connection and the charging power your car can handle.

Version

Suitable for

Type 2 to Type 2

Most EVs and EV chargers in Europe

Type 2 with open end

Fixed connection to a charging point by an installer

Type 1 to Type 2

Older or Asian cars with a Type 1 connection

Spiral Type 2

Compact storage, less cable on the ground

If you have a 1-phase connection, you can charge up to 7.4 kW. With a 3-phase connection, you can reach 11 kW or 22 kW. Your car and fuse box determine the maximum, because not every EV accepts 22 kW. Not sure about the connector? Compare the matching Type 2 charging cables or ask for advice via WhatsApp.

Ready for Plug & Charge and the ISO 15118 standard

From 1 January 2027, new EV chargers in the EU must support the ISO 15118-20 standard. This standard regulates smart communication between the car and the EV charger and enables Plug & Charge: you charge automatically, without a card or app. Bidirectional charging, also known as V2G (vehicle-to-grid, feeding power back from your car), is also covered by this. A Type 2 charging cable contains the communication conductor used by these functions, so with a Loady Type 2 cable you are ready for the future.

Order separately or complete with EV charger

You can order your Loady charging cable separately, useful as a spare cable or for on the road. Would you prefer a fixed solution at home? Choose a complete EV charger, optionally including installation by a certified installer. In addition to cables, Loady also makes mobile home chargers that allow you to charge anywhere from a standard socket.

Frequently asked questions about Loady charging cables

What charging power do I need?

Is a Loady charging cable ready for Plug & Charge?

Yes. A Type 2 cable contains the communication conductor used by Plug & Charge and the ISO 15118 standard. The function itself is enabled via your EV charger and car.
