The Mini Countryman SE ALL4 charges at home at up to 11 kW over a Type 2 connector. With a usable battery of 64.7 kWh, a wall-mounted charger is the sensible choice. Which EV charger fits the Mini Countryman SE ALL4?
The Countryman SE ALL4 takes up to 11 kW at home. An 11 kW charger therefore uses everything the car offers. A 22 kW charger will not charge this Mini faster. The exception is a car with the optional 22 kW onboard charger. The onboard charger is the converter inside the car, and it sets the ceiling. Look for a built-in MID meter while you compare. An MID meter is a certified kWh meter. It records every session to the kilowatt-hour, so you see exactly what home charging costs you.
From 2026 a Dutch scheme pays private owners back up to 500 euro a year on those costs. It runs in the Netherlands only, and only with a certified meter. An employer or lease company accepts the same reading without discussion. Compare what is available in our EV chargers with an MID meter.
The Mini Countryman SE ALL4 has a Type 2 socket, like almost every modern charger. At home you charge through the charger's fixed cable or its socket.

How long does the Mini Countryman SE ALL4 take to charge?
Work from the usable 64.7 kWh battery. On an 11 kW charger a nearly empty battery is full again in about 7 hours. A straight 64.7 divided by 11 gives 5.9 hours, and charging losses account for the rest. The power also eases off towards the end of the session. Plug the Mini in at 23:00 and it is ready in the morning.
On a single-phase supply the car charges more slowly. It accepts up to 7.4 kW there, which needs 32 amps. On a 16 amp supply that drops to 3.7 kW. For the full 11 kW you need a three-phase connection. That means your supply reaches the charger over three live wires instead of one.
Which charging features are useful?

For the full 11 kW, yes. The car charges over three phases, so a three-phase supply gets you the maximum. On a single-phase supply the SE ALL4 charges at up to 7.4 kW. On a 16 amp supply that drops to 3.7 kW.
Why does an MID meter matter for the SE ALL4?
A certified kWh meter records your charging precisely. You see what each session cost you, and an employer or lease company can reimburse it without argument. In the Netherlands the same meter is the condition for the reimbursement scheme that starts in 2026. That is why we recommend one for almost every driver.
Can I install the charger myself?
