Porsche EV charger: which model suits your car?
Charging a Porsche at home works best with a charger that matches your exact version. The fully electric Taycan charges at 11 kW as standard. The on-board charger is the converter in the car that sets its AC charging limit. On the 2021-2023 models an optional charger took the Taycan to 22 kW. The E-Hybrid models, such as the Panamera and the Cayenne, depend on their generation. On the 2024 generations 11 kW is standard. Older generations charge at 3.6 kW, with 7.2 kW as a paid option. So the right Porsche charger depends on the version you drive. Wallbox Discounter has a separate page for every version, each with its own charging advice. Choose your model below.

Which EV charger suits a Porsche?
Choosing a Porsche home charger starts with the power your car accepts. For the Taycan that is 11 kW over a three-phase connection. A three-phase connection supplies power over three live wires instead of one. An 11 kW EV charger therefore uses the full power of a standard Taycan. A 22 kW charger never slows the car down. A Taycan fitted with that 22 kW on-board charger charges about twice as fast. That route does need a three-phase 32 A connection at home.
The E-Hybrid models depend on their generation. On the 2024 generations 11 kW is standard. Older generations charge at 3.6 kW, with 7.2 kW as a paid option. Check your model page to see which figure applies and which charger suits it.
Also look at what the charger itself can do. A MID meter is a kWh meter built into the charger and certified under the EU Measuring Instruments Directive. It measures your charging separately from your household use, so you know what it costs. That choice is not equally wide at every power level. Nearly the whole MID range sits on 22 kW, the 11 kW choice is narrower and 7.4 kW has none. App control is available at all three power levels.
For the Porsche Taycan, we recommend an 11 kW EV charger from our range. For an E-Hybrid, check your model page first. The charging power varies by generation and by whether the optional charger was fitted.
Compare all 11 kW EV chargers or the 22 kW models in our range. You can also start with our home chargers and narrow it down from there. Which Porsche charging station fits depends on the version you drive. We arrange installation in the Netherlands, Dutch-speaking Belgium and Germany, and nowhere else. Shipping is worldwide, installation is not. We always recommend having the connection made by a qualified electrician.

Frequently asked questions about Porsche EV chargers
What charging power do most Porsche models have?
The fully electric Taycan charges at 11 kW as standard. In Europe that runs over a three-phase connection. The 2021-2023 models could be ordered with 22 kW. In North America Porsche offers 19.2 kW instead of that European 22 kW option. The E-Hybrid models, such as the Panamera and the Cayenne, depend on their generation. On the 2024 generations 11 kW is standard. Older generations charge at 3.6 kW, with 7.2 kW as a paid option. Check the model page to see which figure applies to your version.
Does my Porsche need an EV charger with a MID meter?
A MID meter is a kWh meter built into the charger and certified under the EU Measuring Instruments Directive. A Porsche home charging station with a MID meter measures your charging separately from your household use. So you know exactly what charging your car costs. The choice is not the same at every power level. Nearly the whole MID range sits on 22 kW. On 11 kW the choice is narrower, and on 7.4 kW there is no MID model at all. Compare the chargers with a MID meter before you pick a power level.
