How fast does a Mazda charge?

The car sets the charging speed, not the charger. The MX-30 and CX-60 charge on a single phase, up to 6.6 kW and about 7.2 kW. The newer 6e charges on three phases, up to 11 kW. A heavier charger will not charge a single-phase Mazda any faster, though it does leave room for a future EV. Each model page recommends a charger matched to that specific Mazda.

What to look for in a Mazda charger

Whichever Mazda you drive, choose a charger with a built-in MID meter, a certified kWh meter that logs your charging accurately. An accurate meter shows exactly what charging costs, separate from the rest of your household power, which is useful for everyone. On top of that, from 2026 a certified meter lets private drivers earn back up to 500 euro a year through their energy supplier. That scheme applies from 2026 in the Netherlands only.
