JAC EV charger: which model fits your car?
JAC is a Chinese car brand. Wallbox Discounter covers one JAC model: the iEV7s. It charges over a single phase, at up to 6.6 kW AC. That means you do not need a heavy three-phase charger at home. A single-phase unit already gets the full power out of it. The model page below carries the advice for your car.
For your JAC we recommend a charger from our 7.4 kW EV chargers.
Charging specifications per JAC model
| Model | Max. AC charging power | Page |
|---|---|---|
| JAC iEV7s | 6.6 kW (single-phase) | JAC iEV7s |
Which EV charger fits a JAC?
The iEV7s charges single-phase at up to 6.6 kW. An 11 kW or 22 kW charger therefore adds little for the car itself. Your car never charges faster than its own maximum. A single-phase charger that delivers up to 7.4 kW is plenty. Do pick one with adjustable charging power or dynamic load balancing. That feature lowers the charging power by itself. On a single-phase connection the rest of your house then keeps enough current.
One feature is not available at this power level. A MID meter is a certified kWh meter that records your home charging separately from your household use. It tells you exactly what charging costs you. Our charging stations with MID meter start at 11 kW, so no 7.4 kW model has one. Watch the power rating there. An 11 kW model drops this car to 3.7 kW, because it supplies 16 A per phase and the iEV7s uses only one. A 22 kW model still gives it the full 6.6 kW.
App control is worth a look as well. It lets you set charging times and follow a session from your phone. Several EV chargers with an app are available at 7.4 kW.
Our EV home chargers overview groups every model that suits a home connection. We recommend having the connection made by a qualified electrician, which is safer and matters for your insurance. Wallbox Discounter arranges installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany.

Frequently asked questions about JAC EV chargers
What charging power does the JAC iEV7s have?
The JAC iEV7s charges single-phase at up to 6.6 kW AC over a Type 2 connector. A single-phase charger of up to 7.4 kW delivers that full power. A heavier charger does not charge the car faster.
Is a MID meter useful for a JAC?
Useful, but not at this power level. A MID certified kWh meter shows exactly what you charge at home, separately from your household use. At 7.4 kW our range has no model with that meter built in, because it starts at 11 kW. A 22 kW model with a MID meter still charges the iEV7s at its full 6.6 kW.
