How long does it take to charge the Volkswagen ID.3 Pro?
Using an 11 kW EV charger, the 58 kWh battery can be charged from empty to full in approximately 6.25 hours. When you connect the car at around 23:00, you can leave the following morning with a fully charged battery. If your home only has a single-phase connection, the charging power is limited to a maximum of 3.7 kW and a full charging session will take considerably longer. A three-phase connection is required to achieve the full charging capacity of 11 kW. The ID.3 Pro charges using three phases at 3x16 amps. With a single-phase connection, the maximum charging power is 3.7 kW, regardless of the maximum power that the EV charger can provide.
Do the recommended EV chargers have a MID meter?
The Zaptec Go 2 has an integrated MID meter and is therefore suitable for accurate business reimbursement and ERE registration. ERE certificates are only applicable in the Netherlands. The Easee Charge Up and the budget-friendly Besen 11 kW do not have an integrated MID meter.
