Type 2 coiled charging cable
A Type 2 coiled charging cable automatically retracts after charging, just like an old telephone cord. This keeps the cable off the ground and your driveway tidy. At Wallbox Discounter, you can choose a Loady Type 2 coiled charging cable in 11 kW or 22 kW, at Europe's lowest prices.
When should you choose a coiled charging cable?
A straight charging cable lies fully extended on the ground while charging. A coiled cable remains largely suspended and takes up less space. This is especially useful if:
- Your EV charger and vehicle are close together and you don't want a cable lying on the ground.
- You charge in a shared or tight parking space where a loose cable gets in the way.
- You prefer storing the cable compactly in your boot.

11 kW or 22 kW: which power rating should you choose?
The Loady Type 2 coiled charging cable is available in 11 kW and 22 kW versions. With a single-phase connection you can charge at up to 7.4 kW. If you have a three-phase connection, choose 11 kW or 22 kW for the shortest charging times. Your vehicle determines the maximum charging speed.
Ready for Plug & Charge and ISO 15118
From 1 January 2027, new EV chargers in the EU must support the ISO 15118-20 standard. This enables Plug & Charge, allowing automatic charging without an RFID card or app. It also supports bidirectional charging (V2G – Vehicle-to-Grid). A Type 2 coiled charging cable already contains the communication wire required for these functions, making it ready for the future.
Order separately or together with an EV charger
You can order the Loady coiled charging cable separately for convenient charging at home or on the road. Prefer a permanent home charging solution? Choose an EV charger including installation by a certified installer.
