The 4MATIC versions charge at up to 11 kW AC as standard over a three-phase connection. An 11 kW EV charger is therefore the logical choice. It makes full use of the standard onboard charger and can recharge the car comfortably overnight.

How long does the Mercedes EQA 350 / 300 4MATIC take to charge?

The usable battery capacity is 66.5 kWh. Dividing this by 11 kW gives a theoretical charging time of around six hours. In practice, charging losses increase this to approximately seven hours and fifteen minutes for a full charge. Plug the car in during the evening and it will be ready again the next morning.

On a single-phase 32 A connection, up to 7.4 kW may be available. This increases the charging time considerably compared with an 11 kW three-phase connection. For the standard charging capacity of the EQA 4MATIC, an 11 kW three-phase EV charger is therefore the most suitable setup.

For the full 11 kW charging power, yes. The EQA 350 and EQA 300 4MATIC charge at 3 × 16 A over three phases. With only a single-phase connection, the available charging power is lower and a full charge takes longer.

Can the Mercedes EQA 4MATIC charge faster than 11 kW on an EV charger?

Not as standard. The standard onboard charger is limited to 11 kW AC, so a more powerful EV charger provides no additional charging speed. Only vehicles fitted with the optional 22 kW onboard charger can make use of a 22 kW EV charger. DC fast charging at up to around 100 kW is available through the CCS connection when charging on the road.
