Which EV charger is suitable for the Nissan e-NV200?
Because the e-NV200 charges at home at a maximum of 3.6 or 6.6 kW, depending on the version, an 11 kW wallbox is more than sufficient. The vehicle will not use its full capacity, but you will have a future-proof EV charger for a later electric car that can charge more quickly. Preferably choose an EV charger with an integrated MID meter when the charged kilowatt-hours must be measured accurately and verifiably. This is particularly important for employer or leasing-company reimbursement and for recording business charging sessions. In the Netherlands, a MID-certified meter may also be required for ERE registration. Please note that the ERE scheme applies exclusively in the Netherlands and is not available in other countries.

How long does it take to charge the Nissan e-NV200?
For the e-NV200 Evalia with a usable battery capacity of approximately 38 kWh and a charging power of 6.6 kW, you can expect a full charging time of around 5.5 to 6 hours. The older Evalia Connect Edition, with its 22 kWh battery and maximum AC charging power of 3.6 kW, also takes approximately six to seven hours. A faster EV charger will not reduce these charging times because the e-NV200’s onboard charger is the limiting factor. While travelling, the e-NV200 can be charged using a CHAdeMO fast charger, depending on the version.

An 11 kW EV charger is more than sufficient and remains suitable for a future electric vehicle that may charge more quickly.
Does the recommended EV charger have a MID meter?
We strongly recommend an integrated MID meter when you need accurate and certified charging data. It allows you to document the charged kilowatt-hours for employer or leasing-company reimbursement and business charging. In the Netherlands, a MID-certified meter may also be required for ERE registration. The ERE scheme applies exclusively in the Netherlands. When these functions are not required, an EV charger without a MID meter may also be suitable for standard private charging.
