Why a 7.4 kW EV charger is enough for the SEAT Mii electric

The on-board charger of the Mii electric accepts 7.2 kW at most and runs on one phase. Put a 7.4 kW single-phase charger next to it and the car draws that full 7.2 kW. The car sets the limit, not the charger. What it needs at home is a single-phase connection of 32 amps. Do you have 25 amps today? Then the connection has to be upgraded first. The Mii electric charges through a type 2 socket, like most modern chargers. You only need a separate type 2 charging cable if you want to charge away from home.
