Skoda Enyaq iV 80x EV charger: which one suits best?
The Skoda Enyaq iV 80x charges at a maximum of 11 kW alternating current at home. That is the ceiling of the onboard charger. This is the version with all-wheel drive and an 82 kWh battery. When choosing a charger, that 11 kW is the number that counts. A faster charger will not charge your 80x any quicker at home. The other Enyaq iV versions charge at different speeds, listed in the overview of the Skoda Enyaq EV charger.
For the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x we recommend a charger from our 11 kW EV chargers.

Which EV charger suits the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x?
Because the 80x charges at 11 kW at home, an 11 kW wallbox on three phases is the logical choice. A 22 kW charger adds nothing, because the car does not take the extra power. Preferably choose a charger with a built-in MID meter. That is not a detail. A MID meter is a certified kWh meter. It records exactly how much electricity goes into your car, separately from the rest of your household use, so you always know what charging at home costs you.
Feel free to compare the full range of 11 kW EV chargers or browse all our charging stations with MID meter. We always advise having the connection made by a qualified electrician, which is safer and can matter for your insurance. Wallbox Discounter arranges installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany, with the conditions per country on our installation page.
How long does the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x take to charge?
The 80x has a usable battery of 77 kWh. On an 11 kW wallbox you go from empty to full in about seven to eight hours, including the usual charging losses. Plug the car in during the evening and it is fully charged the next morning. At a DC fast charger on the road the 80x takes up to 175 kW. That brings you from 10 to 80 percent in half an hour. The car uses a Type 2 connection for AC charging. You only need a matching Type 2 charging cable when you charge at a public station.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x charge at 22 kW?
Not at home. The onboard charger of the 80x accepts a maximum of 11 kW alternating current. A 22 kW charger does not charge the car any faster, because the car sets the ceiling, not the charger. An 11 kW wallbox is therefore exactly what you need. At a DC fast charger on the road the car does charge much faster, up to 175 kW.
Does the Skoda Enyaq iV 80x need a three-phase connection?
To reach the full 11 kW you need a three-phase connection of 3x16 amps at home. Do you only have single phase? Then the car charges at up to 7.4 kW and a full charge takes longer. With only single phase, a charger from our 7.4 kW EV chargers is the sensible choice. Those models do not have a built-in MID meter, which starts at 11 kW in our range. Whether a three-phase connection is available depends on your country and your grid operator.
Why does a MID meter matter for the Enyaq iV 80x?
A MID-certified kWh meter records your charging consumption accurately. It shows you exactly what you charge at home, separately from your other electricity use. A charger without a MID meter is cheaper, but it does not give you that insight.
