Skoda Enyaq EV charger: an overview per version
The Skoda Enyaq comes in a long list of versions, from the entry-level iV 50 to the sporty RS. Each has its own battery and range. Every Enyaq takes up to 11 kW of alternating current (AC) at home. Which EV charger suits the Skoda Enyaq?
Nearly every Enyaq charges at up to 11 kW AC at home. To use all of it you need a three-phase connection, which means three separate live wires running into your meter box. On a single-phase connection an 11 kW charger uses just one of its phases, so you get 3.7 kW. To reach 7.4 kW on a single phase you need a charger built for 32 amps on one line.
The entry-level iV 50 is the exception on paper, at 7.4 kW. In practice it loses nothing on an 11 kW charger. The car still draws its maximum there, spread across two phases instead of one. So one 11 kW charger serves the whole Enyaq range.
Look for a charger with a built-in MID meter, a certified kWh meter that logs your charging accurately. It shows you what driving costs at home, separate from the rest of your household use. Be aware that the choice is narrow at this power level. In our range a MID meter is a three-phase feature, and only a small part of the charging stations with MID meter cover 11 kW. The rest are 22 kW units.
An Enyaq with the large battery charges for hours on end, and that makes dynamic load balancing useful. The charger measures what your meter box has to spare and adjusts the power as it goes. That keeps the circuit from tripping when several appliances run at once. Our EV chargers with dynamic load balancing do this automatically.

At what power does the Skoda Enyaq charge at home?
Most versions of the Skoda Enyaq charge at up to 11 kW AC. Only the entry-level iV 50 is rated at 7.4 kW. With an 11 kW charger and a three-phase connection you use the full power of the other versions.
Does it matter for the charger which Enyaq I have?
