An EVBox charging station has stood for robust technology and reliable charging infrastructure for many years, especially in the business market. At Wallbox Discounter, we still have several EVBox models in stock, including the business EVBox BusinessLine Satellite 2x22 kW. You can order the charging station separately or directly including installation by a certified installer. However, it is important to understand the current status of the brand before making your choice, because EVBox looks different in 2026 than it did a few years ago.

Important: current status of EVBox in 2026

EVBox was acquired by the French energy company Engie in 2017. In October 2024, Engie announced that it would wind down most of EVBox’s EV charging activities after a loss of around €800 million. Since 1 December 2025, EVBox’s Everon platform has been phased out. As a result, remote management, monitoring and payment processing through that platform are no longer supported.

What does this mean for you as a buyer? Our EVBox models are still available from stock and can still be installed and used. However, new products and large-scale Everon platform support can no longer be guaranteed. We are happy to advise you on alternatives from Alfen, Easee, Zaptec or Wallbox if you want a future-proof choice. For business installations, migration services such as Blink Charging and Tap Electric are now available to take over Everon stations, but this requires extra work and costs.

Which EVBox charging station is still available?

At the moment, we carry three EVBox products in our range. There is one complete charging station and two accessories. The main product is the EVBox BusinessLine Satellite 2x22 kW with Type 2 connection. In addition, we have a mounting pole for the EVBox Elvi and a grey cover for the BusinessLine hub.

EVBox BusinessLine Satellite 2x22 kW

The BusinessLine Satellite is a business charging station with two connections of 22 kW each. It forms part of a setup with a main charging station, the Hub, and one or more Satellites, allowing you to build a charging site for your company, parking garage or apartment association. The Satellite therefore only works together with an existing Hub.

What do you get technically? Type 2 socket connections suitable for almost every electric car, dynamic load balancing to stay within the available grid capacity, an integrated MID meter for business reimbursement and LED status lighting. This model is suitable for customers who specifically want this hardware, for example to expand an existing EVBox setup or for fleet installations where uniformity is desired.

Selected EVBox models support ISO 15118, the communication standard between car and charging station. This enables Plug & Charge: the charging station recognises your car automatically, so you do not need a charging card or app to start a session. Whether your specific configuration supports ISO 15118 depends on firmware and the underlying back end. Ask our customer service team for the latest specifications if this is decisive for you.

Who is this EVBox charging station still interesting for?

  • Companies that already have an EVBox Hub installed and want to expand their charging site with additional charging points.
  • Fleet managers who prefer to work with one type of hardware for maintenance and ease of use.
  • Buyers who want to purchase at a stock-clearance price and arrange their own back end or charging session reimbursement.
  • Apartment associations and project developers that need a double 22 kW charging station with MID meter.

Are you looking for a charging station for home use only? Then the BusinessLine Satellite is not really suitable for your situation. In that case, take a look at home EV chargers or contact our advice team.

Three strong alternatives for a future-proof choice

If you are buying a charging station for the long term and want full manufacturer support, another brand is often the better choice. Three strong alternatives we recommend daily:

  • An Alfen charging station is developed and manufactured in the Netherlands, with a broad range for home and business use and its own back end for reimbursement.
  • An Easee EV charger is a compact Norwegian solution with smart charging management, app control and an active development line.
  • A Zaptec EV charger from Norway is ideal for charging sites and apartment associations with dynamic load balancing and a scalable platform.

Not sure which direction to choose? Ask us for advice via WhatsApp, email or phone, and we will look together at what best suits your situation and budget.

Installation and support for your EVBox charging station

The BusinessLine Satellite should always be installed by a certified installer. It is a 3-phase charging station with dynamic load balancing, so the electrical cabinet connection and the configuration of the Hub-Satellite setup must be set up carefully. Wallbox Discounter supports you with installation through our partner network. View the options on the EV charger including installation page.

Please take the limitations of the Everon platform into account. Features that ran through that platform, such as central remote management and certain reimbursement services, are no longer guaranteed. For reimbursement and session management, we recommend an independent back-end system that supports OCPP.

Frequently asked questions about EVBox charging stations

Will my new EVBox charging station still work without Everon?

Yes, the charging station itself will continue to work normally. You do not need the Everon platform to charge your electric car. However, for business reimbursement, we recommend an independent back-end system that communicates with the charging station via OCPP.

Which charging cable fits an EVBox BusinessLine Satellite?

The BusinessLine Satellite has a Type 2 socket, so you choose a separate Type 2 charging cable that matches your car. We offer a wide range of charging cables in 5, 8, 10 and 15 metres.

Is there still a warranty on an EVBox charging station I buy now?

The standard manufacturer’s warranty that applies at the time of delivery applies to the hardware. Ask our customer service team for the current warranty conditions for the model you want to order, and we will inform you honestly about what you can expect.

Which charging station brand do you recommend if I am unsure about EVBox?

For home use, we often look at Alfen, Easee or Wallbox, depending on your electrical connection and requirements. For business installations, Alfen or Zaptec is a logical step. Ask us for free advice via WhatsApp or phone, and we will think along with you.

Ask for advice about your situation

Buying an EVBox charging station in 2026 is a conscious choice. We believe it is important that you know exactly what you are buying, even if that means we refer you to another brand that better suits your situation. If you order an EVBox from stock at Wallbox Discounter, you benefit from competitive prices, same-day shipping when ordered before 15:00 and independent advice. Still unsure? Call, email or send us a message via WhatsApp, and we will look together at the best charging station for your situation.
