Think EV charger: which model fits your car?
Think, written Th!nk by the brand itself, was a Norwegian maker of the compact Think City. Production stopped in 2012, so a Think on the road today is almost certainly a City. That car charges at home at up to 3.7 kW on a single-phase connection. The car sets the pace here, yet a fixed charger still beats a household socket on comfort and on safety.

The right EV charger for a Think
The Think City charges at up to 3.7 kW on a single-phase connection. A 7.4 kW unit already covers everything the car can take, and a 22 kW unit adds nothing at all. We still point you at 11 kW, because a three-phase charger costs little more and serves the next EV as well. That only works if your fuse box already has three phases.
Pick a model with a socket rather than a fixed cable. You then plug in your own cable, so the charger works whichever inlet your car turns out to have. Check that inlet before you order, and choose a matching charging cable with it.
A MID meter is worth considering, a certified kWh meter inside the charger. It records exactly how much energy went into the car. That makes a charging session easy to settle with an employer or a lease company. The choice is limited at lower power levels, since most of our chargers with a MID meter are 22 kW models.
Dynamic load balancing is the other feature to look at. The charger reads how much current your home still has free and drops the charging power when other appliances start up.
