Fiat EV charger: which model suits your car?

The Fiat 500e and the Fiat 600e charge at home at up to 11 kW. The kW figure is the charging power: more kW means a faster charge. The full 11 kW takes a three-phase connection: three live wires into your home instead of one. An 11 kW Fiat EV charger then uses the car's full charging capacity. Wallbox Discounter has a separate page for every Fiat model and version, so you see exactly what fits your situation.

Which EV charger suits a Fiat?

The 500e and the 600e both charge at up to 11 kW. So an 11 kW EV charger is the logical choice for charging at home. One power level covers both models, which keeps the decision simple. A 500e with the 42 kWh battery fills in about four hours, and a 600e in roughly five and a half. Those figures include charging losses. A 22 kW charger does not charge these cars faster, because the onboard charger caps at 11 kW.

No three-phase connection at home yet? Then the choice between 7.4 kW and 11 kW matters. An 11 kW charger is 3 x 16 A, so on a single phase it delivers about 3.7 kW. The 42 kWh 500e then needs around twelve hours. A single-phase 32 A supply lets the car take its full 7.4 kW. So a 7.4 kW EV charger is twice as fast: about six hours for that same 500e. Choose 11 kW only if three-phase is already there, or if it is coming.

Consider a charger with a built-in MID meter. MID is the EU Measuring Instruments Directive, and a MID meter is certified under it. It logs your charging apart from the rest of your household, so you know what each session costs.

At 11 kW that choice stays narrow. Most MID models sit in the 22 kW category, which asks for a three-phase 32 A connection. At 7.4 kW you will not find one. App control is easier: it is available at every power level. In short: 11 kW with three-phase, 7.4 kW on a single phase. Go to 22 kW only if a MID meter outweighs the heavier connection it needs.

We arrange the installation in the Netherlands, Flanders and Germany. For the connection to your fuse box we recommend a qualified electrician, which is safer and matters for your insurance. Shipping runs worldwide, installation does not.

For the Fiat 500e and 600e, we recommend an 11 kW EV charger from our range.

Frequently asked questions about Fiat EV chargers

What charging power do the Fiat 500e and 600e have?

Both the Fiat 500e and the Fiat 600e charge at home at up to 11 kW on three-phase. An 11 kW EV charger uses that power in full, so your Fiat charges as fast as the car allows. A 24 kWh 500e is full in about two and a half hours, charging losses included.

Do I need a three-phase connection for a Fiat?

For the full 11 kW, yes. On a single phase an 11 kW charger delivers about 3.7 kW. The 42 kWh 500e then takes around twelve hours. A 7.4 kW charger on a single-phase 32 A supply gives the car its full 7.4 kW. That halves the time to about six hours. Choose 11 kW only if three-phase is already there, or if it is coming.
