The V2C Trydan is a compact EV charger that charges from 3.7 to 22 kW. It works on both single-phase and three-phase connections, so it suits almost every electrical cabinet. On a three-phase connection, you get the most out of the charger: an average EV can then be fully charged in around two hours.

The Trydan has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing you to connect the charger to the V2C app on your phone. With the app, you can start charging sessions, schedule charging during off-peak hours and monitor your consumption in real time. The Trydan also supports ISO 15118, the communication standard between car and EV charger that enables Plug & Charge and smart-grid functions. With a car that also supports this standard, charging starts automatically as soon as you plug in the connector.

Socket system: choose your own charging cable

The V2C Trydan uses a socket instead of a fixed cable. You connect your own Type 2 charging cable to the EV charger. This has two advantages: you choose the cable length that suits your situation, and you can take the same cable with you to charge publicly on the road. No fixed cable lying in the way when you are not using it.

Charging with solar energy using the V2C Trydan

Do you have solar panels? Then the Trydan recognises when your panels are generating power and preferably sends that energy to your car. This allows you to charge during the day with electricity you generate yourself and use less power from the grid. You can also combine the charger with a home battery to keep charging with your own solar power in the evening.

Dynamic load balancing for a safe electrical cabinet

The Trydan continuously measures how much electricity your home is using and automatically adjusts the charging power. Are the washing machine, oven and dishwasher running at the same time? Then your car temporarily charges a little slower. When the load in the house drops again, the charging power increases. This prevents your circuit from tripping.
