Are you ready to make the most of solar energy? More and more homeowners and businesses are choosing solar panel mounting systems for flat roofs. With our plug & play solar panels with a plug, you can switch to green energy with ease. This helps you reduce your energy bills while contributing to a more sustainable future. Read below to learn more about the different flat roof mounting kits we offer and what is required to get started with the installation.

Flat Roof Solar Panel Mounting – Which Kit Is Most Suitable for Me?

We offer two different types of flat roof mounting systems for solar panels: a horizontal and a vertical version. The flat roof frame for 1 horizontal solar panel is installed in landscape orientation and is also available for two solar panels. These two options are among the most popular flat roof mounting systems. The flat roof frame for 1 vertical solar panel is installed in portrait orientation and is also available as a double solar panel setup. See the flat roof frame for 2 vertical solar panels for more information.

Whether you need a vertical or horizontal setup depends on several factors and varies from one situation to another. Obstacles on the roof and the dimensions of your flat roof are often the most important considerations.

Both flat roof mounting systems are also perfectly suited for our plug & play solar panels. Using a Schuko plug, the required cables, and a micro inverter, they can easily be connected to your own electricity network.

Installing Solar Panels on a Flat Roof – How Does It Work?

When installing solar panels on a flat roof, it is important that everything is done safely and efficiently. You want to prevent situations where the panels are not properly secured and could potentially be blown off the roof during a storm.

The flat roof solar panel frames are made from high-quality aluminium and are supplied with all necessary mounting hardware. This makes it easy to attach the solar panels to the frame. All required components and screws are included.

In addition, these flat roof mounting systems are ideally suited for the use of ballast. The aluminium profile of the mounting frame is designed in a U-shape, making it easy to place ballast blocks. By using ballast, you can avoid drilling into the roof and prevent potential damage to your flat roof.

To install ballast, a rubber mat is typically placed on the roof first, followed by heavy paving slabs. These slabs provide sufficient weight to ensure the solar panels remain securely mounted on the flat roof.
