Why the Honda Jazz does not use a charger

The Honda Jazz e:HEV combines a petrol engine with two electric motors and a small battery. That battery charges itself while you drive and brake, so you never plug it in. Which Honda does need a charger?

Smart charging once you drive electric

Do you switch to a fully electric Honda later? Then choose a charger with a built-in MID-certified kWh meter, a so-called MID meter. That is worth the attention. From 2026, this pays off in the Netherlands only. Private drivers there can earn back around 10 cents per kWh they charge at home, but only with a certified meter.
