With this CT (Clamp Terminal) clamp your Trydan EV Charger can perform measurements on the phase cable(s) of your main fuse. Among other things for its security, the consumption within your home, the surplus of self-generated energy and the yield of your own energy systems (solar panels and/or wind turbine).
With a Trydan 22 kW (3-phase) wallbox, 3 CT clamps are supplied as standard and with a Trydan 7.4 kW (1-phase) wallbox, 1 CT clamp is supplied as standard. By using an extra CT clamp you are also able to display the yield of your solar panels and this can be read on the V2C App of your Trydan EV Charger.
It is not necessary to also place a CT clamp on the inverter. However, this is only necessary to obtain a complete overview of all information in the app of the Trydan, in order to know exactly where the power is coming from and/or going.
Please note: this product can only be used in conjunction with a Trydan EV Charger.
