Dacia EV charger: which model fits your car?
Dacia keeps electric driving simple and affordable. The Spring Electric is the compact city car in that range, and it charges quietly at home. The Spring charges on a single phase with alternating current. You therefore do not need a heavy unit on your wall. Which EV charger fits a Dacia?
The Dacia Spring charges on one phase, at up to 6.6 kW. It cannot use the extra power of a three-phase unit. A 22 kW model therefore adds no charging speed for this car. An 11 kW three-phase charger is worse: it supplies 16 A per phase, so the Spring drops to 3.7 kW. Our 7.4 kW EV chargers are the power class that matches the Spring. Most Spring drivers start there and choose from our home EV chargers.
A MID meter is a calibrated kWh meter built into the charger. It records your car charging separately from the rest of your household use. You then know exactly what charging at home costs you. At 7.4 kW our range does not carry one. Our EV chargers with a MID meter start at 11 kW three-phase, which for this car means dropping to 3.7 kW.
We arrange installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany, and nowhere else. In Germany it runs through a free quotation rather than a booked installation, as our installation page explains. We ship almost our entire range worldwide, but installation stays within those three countries. Elsewhere you order the charger and arrange a qualified electrician yourself.
We always advise having the connection made by a qualified electrician. That is safer, and local rules on who may do this work differ per country.
