You purchase a competitively priced professional AC model with socket system, 3-phase connection and support for up to 22 kW per output. At Wallbox Discounter, you can choose from models by Alfen, EVBox and Smappee, all equipped with a MID-certified kWh meter, dynamic load balancing and OCPP integration for your backend. You can order the charger separately or including on-site installation.

Which businesses is a Double EV Charger for business suitable for?

A dual EV charger is interesting for every location where more than one EV regularly charges at the same time. In practice, these setups are mainly seen at office parking areas, apartment complex parking garages and SME fleet locations. Two charging points in one housing save approximately half the installation and cabling costs compared to two separate chargers.

  • Offices and business locations with a growing number of EV drivers among employees or visitors
  • Apartment associations that want to provide charging access for multiple residents without upgrading the main connection
  • Fleet managers with pool cars or vans that need overnight charging
  • Hotels, restaurants and parking garages offering charging as a service

This category page contains AC charging stations up to 22 kW per output. If you require fast charging for transport companies or taxi companies, take a look at the DC variants within the broader range of Company charging stations.

OCPP and backend: billing and monitoring charging sessions

If you want to charge back charging sessions to employees, visitors or residents, you need an EV charger with OCPP. OCPP stands for Open Charge Point Protocol and allows the charger to connect to a management backend from a provider of your choice, such as Eneco, Allego or Vattenfall. Through this backend you can view how many kWh have been charged per charging card or per user, at what moment and at which tariff.

All dual EV chargers in this range communicate with external backends via OCPP 1.6 or higher. The integrated MID-certified kWh meter ensures that the measured values are legally valid for invoicing and ERE registration purposes. More about fiscal reimbursement can be found on the business reimbursement page.

In addition to OCPP and RFID, modern business EV chargers also support the ISO 15118 standard. This enables Plug & Charge: as soon as an employee or visitor plugs in the cable, the vehicle identifies itself automatically and the charger handles authentication, authorisation and invoicing entirely through your backend. No more distributing charging cards, no apps to install, while still maintaining a fully secure connection between charging session and user. For fleet vehicles or customer parking areas, this saves a significant amount of daily hassle.

Models in the range

Under the filters you will find four products, including two AC models suitable for most standard business locations.

ModelPower per outputConnectorPrice from
EVBox BusinessLine Satellite (slave)22 kW (3x 32 A)2x Type 2 socket€1,895
Alfen Eve Double Pro-line22 kW (3x 32 A)2x Type 2 socket€2,795

The Alfen Eve Double Pro-line was developed and manufactured by Alfen in Almere. This model includes a MID-certified kWh meter per output as standard, supports RFID access and is directly eligible for the SPRILA subsidy. For a completely new installation, this is the most common choice.

The EVBox BusinessLine Satellite is a slave version designed to connect to an existing BusinessLine master unit within the same cluster. If you do not yet have a BusinessLine setup, this charger is not suitable as a standalone solution. However, for businesses expanding an existing EVBox installation to four, six or eight charging points, it is an attractive addition.

Load balancing: avoid upgrading your grid connection

Two 22 kW charging points together require 64 A at full power on a 3-phase connection. Many business grid connections cannot supply this without upgrading the main contract with the grid operator. Dynamic load balancing solves this problem: the charger measures through an external current sensor how much power is still available in the building and adjusts charging capacity in real time.

In practice, this means the charger delivers full power when the rest of the building is idle and automatically reduces charging power once air conditioning systems, production lines or pumps are activated. This helps prevent expensive grid upgrades, which can easily cost thousands of euros annually in additional fixed fees. More technical information and alternative configurations can be found at the Double EV Charger with load balancing.

Tax benefits and SPRILA subsidy 2026

For entrepreneurs, there are three financial schemes that make purchasing a Double EV Charger for business attractive:

  • VAT deduction: VAT on purchase and installation can be fully reclaimed when used for business purposes.
  • Small-scale investment deduction (KIA): for investments between €2,901 and €398,236 in 2026, you receive an additional deduction on taxable profit (source: Dutch Tax Authority). Ask your accountant for the current percentage applicable to your tax bracket.
  • SPRILA 2026: the Private Charging Infrastructure Subsidy scheme for businesses runs from 20 January until 18 December 2026, with a total budget of €87.5 million. AC charging stations from 11 kW qualify (source: RVO.nl).

The SPRILA scheme reimburses part of the purchase and installation costs for charging infrastructure located on owned or rented business premises. Applications are submitted through RVO and processed in order of submission. Start in time: first request a quotation, collect your invoices and then submit your application.

Installation: what does Wallbox Discounter arrange?

Installing a dual EV charger involves more work than installing a home charger. An installer checks your main grid connection, installs a dedicated group if necessary and routes cabling to the charger location. We arrange this complete process through our installation service. Through the installation form you provide details about the building type, cable distance and preferred options, after which we provide a fixed-price quotation.

Lead time is generally two to four weeks from the moment of ordering. Plan ahead, especially if you need the charger operational before a specific date. For rollout projects involving more than ten charging points, we prepare a separate project quotation including an on-site inspection beforehand.

Frequently asked questions about a Double EV Charger for business

What does a Double EV Charger for business typically cost?

The purchase price of an AC dual EV charger in this range varies from competitively priced entry-level models to more advanced versions. Installation costs are calculated separately, depending on cable distance, fuse distribution and possible grid upgrades. For an average installation on a company parking lot, total costs including installation are usually around two to three times the purchase price of the charger itself. Request a quotation for your own situation.

Can I bill charging sessions to employees or residents?

Yes. All AC models in this category include a MID-certified kWh meter and support OCPP, allowing you to invoice per user or charging card through a backend. The measured values are legally valid and suitable for ERE registration.

Do I need a 3-phase connection?

A 3-phase connection is required to achieve the full 22 kW output per connector. These chargers also work on a 1-phase connection, but charging power is then limited to a maximum of 7.4 kW per output. An installer determines in advance which configuration suits your electrical cabinet.

Is my charger eligible for SPRILA 2026?

SPRILA applies to AC charging stations from 11 kW and DC stations from 20 kW installed on owned or rented business premises (source: RVO.nl). All dual EV chargers in this range meet this technical requirement. Whether you as an entrepreneur qualify depends on your Chamber of Commerce registration and the remaining conditions within the scheme.
