Smappee EV Wall with MID meter
The Smappee EV Wall with MID meter is the most popular wallbox in this range. It charges on 3-phase up to 22 kW and has an integrated MID-certified kWh meter. This means you can read the exact electricity consumption and use it for your employer, for example for business reimbursement of charging costs. Connect the wallbox via Wi-Fi or 4G to the Smappee app, and you can manage charging sessions, RFID cards and notifications from your phone. Dynamic load balancing is included as standard.
The Smappee EV models support ISO 15118, the communication standard between car and charger. This enables Plug & Charge: the charger recognises your car automatically and starts the session without a charging card or app. Combined with the MID meter, every kWh is linked directly to the correct account, ideal for business reimbursement.
Smappee EV Wall Eichrecht
The EV Wall Eichrecht adds Eichrecht certification on top of MID. This is the German calibration standard for chargers that process public or semi-public reimbursement, with encrypted measurement data and transparent billing. The connection runs via Ethernet for a stable connection, and the wallbox delivers 22 kW through a Type 2 socket. Smappee provides a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty on this model. Suitable for apartment associations, office car parks and all locations where charging sessions must be billed in a legally reliable way.
Smappee EV One
The EV One is Smappee’s pedestal version. It stands freely in the ground and has the same Type 2 socket and 22 kW power as the wall-mounted versions. Useful if you do not have a suitable wall or want to place a charging point further away from the electrical cabinet. Combine it with the separate Smappee Infinity meter if required, and you get dynamic load balancing and integration with solar panels.
Smappee EV Wall with fixed cable
The EV Wall with 8-metre Type 2 cable is the solution for anyone who does not want to use a separate charging cable. Plug in, store the cable on the holder, and you are done. This wallbox also charges at 22 kW on 3-phase and is shipped from the Netherlands. For anyone who charges at home every day and simply wants speed and convenience, this is often the most practical choice.

ERE reimbursement with a Smappee EV Charger
Please note: ERE registration and ERE reimbursement only apply in the Netherlands. For the ERE scheme, you need an EV charger with a MID-certified kWh meter. This is the European standard that guarantees the registered consumption data is accurate. Without a MID meter, an employer or leasing company may often not accept the consumption data. Installation of a Smappee EV Charger
Smappee recommends having the installation carried out by a certified installer. This is not only for safety reasons, but also because incorrect installation may void the warranty and prevent the Infinity functions from working properly. At Wallbox Discounter, you can arrange installation including the EV charger in one go. The basic installation is quoted based on your situation, excluding any adjustments to the electrical cabinet.
The installation itself consists of six steps: placing the mounting plate, aligning the wallbox, connecting the power supply, installing the Infinity components in the electrical cabinet, connecting the cables and activating the wallbox via the Smappee app. Allow for around half a day of work, including the configuration of load balancing and the connection to your solar panels or dynamic energy contract.

Is a Smappee EV Charger smart enough for solar panels?
Yes. Smappee measures how much electricity your panels produce via the Infinity energy meter and adjusts the charging power accordingly. This means you first charge using your own solar power instead of feeding it back into the grid. It works best in combination with the EV Wall or EV One.
What is the difference between MID and Eichrecht with Smappee?
MID is the European measuring instruments standard and is required for reimbursement. Eichrecht is the stricter German calibration law, with encrypted measurement data and official calibration seals. For home charging with employer reimbursement, MID is usually sufficient. For public charging points or public billing, choose the Eichrecht version.
Can I start my Smappee EV Charger without a card or app?
Yes, via Plug & Charge or a QR code. The Smappee app is useful for scheduling charging sessions, managing RFID cards and viewing your consumption, but it is not required to start charging.
