Which charger suits the Byton M-Byte 72 kWh 2WD?

The M-Byte 72 kWh charges at 11 kW at home. So an 11 kW charger on a 3-phase connection gets the most out of this car. A 22 kW unit adds nothing, because the onboard charger does not go above 11 kW.

Choose a charger with a built-in MID meter if you can. A MID meter is a certified kWh meter that records your charging precisely. From 2026 in the Netherlands only, private drivers can earn back up to 500 euro a year on their home charging. Business drivers can declare their usage exactly. That makes a charger with a MID meter a smart choice for almost everyone. Prefer a simple starting point? Then browse our home chargers.

How long does the Byton M-Byte 72 kWh 2WD take to charge?

With an 11 kW charger you fill the 72 kWh battery from empty to full in about 6.5 hours. That equals 72 kWh divided by 11 kW. Plug in at 23:00 and the car is full in the morning. The smaller battery works in your favour here: the 95 kWh version takes over 8 hours with the same charger. On the road you fast-charge the M-Byte at up to 120 kW over a DC rapid charger, handy for the longer trip.
