Which EV charger suits the Peugeot e-208 with 11 kW charging?

The onboard charger draws 3.7 kW from each of three phases. Together that makes 11 kW. A three-phase 11 kW charger matches it exactly, so nothing is left unused on either side.

On a single-phase connection only one of those three phases is live. Your e-208 then charges at 3.7 kW and needs most of a day instead of a night. If your fuse box has only one phase, ask your grid operator about a three-phase connection.

A 22 kW charger adds nothing here. The onboard charger sets the ceiling at 11 kW, and the charger on the wall cannot lift it. Put that budget into features instead.

Why an MID meter is worth it

Watch for a built-in MID meter when you compare models. That is a certified kWh meter, and it records exactly how much energy you charge at home. You see what charging costs you per kWh, separately from the rest of your electricity bill. The same reading lets you invoice an employer or leasing company. In the Netherlands it is worth more still: from 2026 drivers there claim back up to 500 euros a year through their energy supplier. That scheme runs in the Netherlands only. How long does it take to charge the Peugeot e-208 at 11 kW?
