How long does the XPeng G9 RWD Standard Range take to charge?
On paper an 11 kW charger fills the 75.8 kWh usable battery in about 7 hours (75.8 kWh divided by 11 kW). In practice, count on around 8 hours including charging losses. Charge overnight and the G9 stands ready at the kerb each morning. A normal wall socket (2.3 kW) would take more than a day for the same charge. For this SUV with its large battery a fixed charger is no luxury. The G9 charges at home via Type 2; a loose Type 2 charging cable is only needed to charge at public points on the road.

Yes. To charge the full 11 kW at home you need a 3-phase connection. On single phase the G9 charges at up to 7.4 kW, which lengthens the charging time. With a 3-phase meter cabinet you get the most out of this SUV. We always recommend having the connection done by a certified installer, which is safer and important for your insurance.
