Jeep Avenger Electric EV charger: which one fits best?
The Jeep Avenger Electric charges at up to 11 kW at home. A three-phase charger supplies current on three phases at once, and the Avenger uses all three of them. This compact electric SUV therefore has no need for an expensive 22 kW charger. It is Jeep's compact battery-electric model and charges faster than the brand's plug-in hybrids. Want to look wider? For the Jeep Avenger Electric we recommend a charger from our 11 kW EV chargers.

Which EV charger suits the Jeep Avenger Electric?
The Avenger accepts 11 kW at home, so an 11 kW charger gets everything out of the car. It has a Type 2 port, the standard connector in Europe, and so does virtually every modern charger. One feature is worth weighing on top of that: a built-in MID meter.
MID stands for the European Measuring Instruments Directive, and a MID meter is a calibrated kWh meter. It sits inside the charger, so it counts your charging apart from the rest of your household use. The calibration is what makes that reading legally valid. You therefore see exactly what charging at home costs you.
We carry chargers with this meter at 11 kW and at 22 kW. Every one of them is three-phase. Compare them in our range of charging stations with a MID meter.

How long does the Jeep Avenger Electric take to charge?
On an 11 kW charger the usable 51 kWh battery fills in about five hours. Plug the car in during the evening and it is full by morning. On a single-phase charger that supplies 32 A the Avenger takes 7.4 kW. That stretches a full charge to roughly seven hours. On the road it accepts up to 100 kW from a DC fast charger, the public kind that feeds direct current straight into the battery. At home, though, 11 kW remains the sensible choice.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Jeep Avenger Electric need a three-phase connection?
For the full 11 kW, yes. On a single phase the ceiling follows the current your charger supplies. At 16 A that is 3.7 kW, and at 32 A it is 7.4 kW. The Avenger accepts that 7.4 kW, which is still ample for daily use. Note that a three-phase 11 kW charger delivers 16 A per phase. On a single-phase connection such a model therefore leaves you at 3.7 kW.
Have the connection to your fuse box made by a qualified electrician. That is safer, and it matters for your insurance. We arrange installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany. We ship chargers worldwide, but we install only in those three countries. In Germany it runs through a free quotation instead of an order you place online.
Why does a MID meter matter for the Avenger?
Because the measurement becomes usable. Without a calibrated meter your charging disappears into one household bill. With a MID meter you know what each charge at home actually costs. On the Avenger, which takes about 51 kWh per full charge, that difference shows up quickly.
