The Mercedes EQS 450+ charges at home with 11 kW as standard. Mercedes also offers an optional 22 kW on-board charger. That single choice decides which charger fits your car. How long does the Mercedes EQS 450+ take to charge?
The sum is simple. Divide the usable battery of 108.4 kWh by the charging power. With the standard 11 kW charger you go from empty to full in about 10 hours. Plug in during the evening and the car is ready in the morning. With the optional 22 kW charger that halves to roughly 5 hours. Your charger and your electrical installation do have to deliver 22 kW. In daily use you rarely start from empty, so the car is usually topped up within a few hours.
