Audi Q6 e-tron quattro charger: which one fits best?
The Audi Q6 e-tron quattro charges at home at 11 kW alternating current as standard, over a three-phase connection. Audi also offers an optional 22 kW onboard charger for this car, which charges twice as fast at home. A three-phase connection uses three live wires from your meter box. Which charger fits the Audi Q6 e-tron quattro?
Does your Q6 e-tron quattro have the standard 11 kW onboard charger? Then an 11 kW charger is exactly right. Did you choose the optional 22 kW charger? Then you get the most from a charger that also handles 22 kW. A MID meter, a certified kWh meter, is worth a look. From 2026, this pays off in the Netherlands only. Private drivers there can earn back around 10 cents per kWh they charge at home, through the Dutch ERE scheme. This works only with a certified meter.
At 11 kW, look specifically for a model with a built-in meter, because only one adjustable model offers it. In our chargers with a MID meter the choice is wider from 22 kW upwards. That is worth knowing if you have the optional 22 kW charger.
The Q6 e-tron quattro uses a Type 2 connection, like most modern chargers. You only need a matching Type 2 charging cable to charge on the road. At home you charge through the charger's fixed cable.
How long does the Audi Q6 e-tron quattro take to charge?
You work out the charging time by dividing the battery capacity by the charging power. With the standard 11 kW charger, the almost empty 94.9 kWh battery fills in about 8.5 hours on paper. In practice, allow a bit longer due to charging losses. Plug in overnight and you drive off full in the morning. With the optional 22 kW onboard charger, that time roughly halves to around 4.5 hours. On the road it is much faster. Thanks to its 800V architecture, the Q6 charges at up to 270 kW. That architecture is an 800-volt system built for very fast direct current charging. That is enough to go from 10 to 80 percent in a little over 20 minutes.

As standard, the Q6 e-tron quattro charges at home at 11 kW AC. Audi offers 22 kW AC charging as an option. Check your car's specification to see which onboard charger it has, because the car sets the maximum, not the charger.
Do I need a three-phase connection for the Q6 e-tron quattro?
Yes, for 11 kW charging you need a three-phase connection with 3x16 amps. On a single-phase connection the power drops to 3.7 kW and charging takes much longer. Your grid operator can arrange a three-phase connection for you.
Why is a MID meter important for this charger?
A built-in MID meter records your charging use precisely. From 2026, in the Netherlands only, private drivers can earn back around 10 cents per kWh this way. That runs through the Dutch ERE scheme. So a charger with a MID meter is usually worth it.
