Opel EV charger: which model suits your car?
Most electric Opel models charge at home between 7.4 and 11 kW through a wallbox. For common models such as the Corsa-e, Mokka-e and Astra Electric, an 11 kW EV charger is the smart choice. Wallbox Discounter has a separate page for many Opel models and trims, with charging times and concrete advice. Pick your car below.

Which EV charger suits an Opel?
Almost every electric Opel gets the most out of an 11 kW charger. That needs a three-phase connection, which spreads the power over three live wires instead of one. A 22 kW charger adds nothing, because the car itself caps what it accepts.
Prefer a charger with a built-in MID meter. A MID meter is a certified kWh meter. It records the electricity you charge at home separately from the rest of your household use. So you know exactly what charging costs you. In our range a built-in MID meter starts at 11 kW. At 7.4 kW there is no charger with one, so compare the chargers with a MID meter if that matters to you.
For most electric Opel models we recommend a charger from our 11 kW EV chargers.
Does your Opel charge on a single phase at 7.4 kW, like the Ampera-e? An 11 kW charger splits its power over three phases. Your car uses just one of them, so it drops to 3.7 kW. A 7.4 kW EV charger gives that car its full speed, but without a built-in MID meter. Check your vehicle documents or the dashboard for the on-board charger your trim has.
We recommend having the connection made by a qualified electrician, which is safer and matters for your insurance. Wallbox Discounter arranges installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany, and in Germany that runs through a free quote. Shipping is worldwide, installation is not.

Frequently asked questions about Opel EV chargers
What charging power do most electric Opel models have?
The common models, such as the Corsa-e, Mokka-e and Astra Electric, charge at up to 11 kW AC through a three-phase connection. Older models such as the Ampera-e charge at around 7.4 kW. Check the model page for the exact charging power of your trim.
Why does a MID meter matter for an Opel EV charger?
A MID meter is a certified kWh meter, so it records your charging accurately. You see what your Opel uses at home, apart from the rest of your household consumption. That makes the cost of a charging session concrete instead of an estimate. In our range a built-in MID meter starts at 11 kW.
