How long does the Volvo XC90 T8 take to charge?
The calculation is simple. A usable battery capacity of 9.6 kWh divided by a charging power of 3.7 kW gives a little over two and a half hours for a full charge. A more powerful EV charger does not shorten this time because the car itself limits the charging power to 3.7 kW. On a regular household socket at around 2.3 kW, charging takes more than four hours.
The XC90 T8 has a Type 2 connection. At home, you can charge with an EV charger that has a fixed cable or with a socketed charger. With a socketed charger, or at public Type 2 charge points without a fixed cable, you need a separate Type 2 charging cable.

Can I charge the XC90 T8 faster with a 22 kW EV charger?
