Citroën e-SpaceTourer EV charger: overview per version
The Citroën e-SpaceTourer comes with two battery sizes, and that choice sets your charging time. Both versions charge at home as standard with 7.4 kW over a Type 2 connection. A three-phase 11 kW onboard charger is available as an option.
Below you can see what suits each version. Our Citroën overview covers the brand's other electric models, each on its own charging page.
For the Citroën e-SpaceTourer we recommend a charger from our 7.4 kW EV chargers.
Does your car have the optional 11 kW onboard charger? Then look at the 11 kW range instead.

Which EV charger fits the Citroën e-SpaceTourer?
With the standard 7.4 kW onboard charger you get the most out of a single-phase 7.4 kW charger. Single-phase means the car draws its current from one of the three phases in your fuse box. AC, or alternating current, is what the charger delivers; the onboard charger converts it to DC, or direct current, for the battery.
Has your e-SpaceTourer the optional 11 kW onboard charger? Then an 11 kW EV charger is noticeably quicker, provided you have a three-phase connection at home. That matters most on the 75 kWh battery, where it cuts several hours off a full charge.
One thing our 7.4 kW range does not offer is a built-in MID meter. That is a calibrated kWh meter sitting inside the charger itself. Because it sits there, it records your charging separately from the rest of your household use. And because it is calibrated, the reading is legally valid rather than an estimate. You will find this meter in our EV chargers with a MID meter, in the 11 kW and 22 kW ranges.
The format matters too. Our EV chargers for home use are the models made for mounting at home. Some have a cable permanently attached, others a Type 2 socket on the unit itself. At home you charge straight from the charger itself.
Not sure about your connection? Have it checked by a qualified electrician. They size the circuit so it stays within what your supply can carry. We arrange installation in the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium and Germany, and nowhere else. In the Netherlands and Flemish Belgium you order it together with the charger, while in Germany it runs through a free quotation. We can ship worldwide, but the installation service stays inside those three countries.
Charging times per version
The charging time depends on the battery and on your onboard charger. On a 7.4 kW charger the 50 kWh version takes around 7 hours 15 minutes. The 75 kWh version needs a good 11 hours.
With the 11 kW onboard charger and a three-phase unit, that drops to roughly 5 hours for the 50 kWh. The 75 kWh version then takes about 7.5 hours. All these figures include charging losses, so they sit above a straight division of capacity by power. On the larger battery the 11 kW option clearly earns its keep.

Frequently asked questions about the Citroën e-SpaceTourer
What charging power does the Citroën e-SpaceTourer have?
As standard the e-SpaceTourer charges at 7.4 kW on a single-phase connection. With the optional 11 kW onboard charger and a three-phase connection at home you can charge at up to 11 kW. A more powerful charger never speeds the car up beyond what the onboard charger allows, so check which version you have first.
Do I need a three-phase connection for the e-SpaceTourer?
Only if your car has the optional 11 kW onboard charger and you want the full benefit of it. With the standard 7.4 kW charger a single-phase connection is enough. Do you expect a faster EV in the future? Then a three-phase connection with an 11 kW charger is a sensible investment now.
