Solar Panels on Corrugated Roofing – What Do I Need?
At Wallbox Discounter, we offer one mounting system for solar panels on corrugated roofs: the Corrugated Roof Mounting Kit for Solar Panels. These mounting rails are suitable for solar panels up to 35 mm thick, with a width of up to 2 metres and a height of up to 2.5 metres. In addition, the rails are suitable for both landscape and portrait panel orientations.
The mounting rails are made from high-quality materials and measure 2 x 200 cm. A kit for one solar panel includes 4 hanger bolts, 4 bolt sets for securing the hanger bolts, 4 end clamps, and a grounding clamp. In total, we offer 10 different kits, each with varying contents. Solar Panel Mounting System for Corrugated Roofing – Getting Started
Before starting the installation, it is important to ensure that the mounting system is installed safely and efficiently. This helps prevent the solar panels from shifting and avoids unsafe situations. Read below to learn how to install solar panels on corrugated roofing safely and securely.
First of all, the mounting rails are supplied in their full length of 200 cm. If this is too long for your roof or the number of panels you are installing, the rails will need to be cut to size.
When installing this mounting system on a corrugated roof, the hanger bolts must first be secured through the corrugated sheets. The mounting rails can then be attached to the hanger bolts using the supplied bolts and nuts.
Finally, the solar panels can be mounted onto the rails. This is done using the supplied end clamps and mid clamps.
